Trenching work starts on Devil’s Hole Hill this month

Traffic on Devil’s Hole Hill will be temporarily reduced to a single lane later this month for trenching work.
A notice published by the Ministry of Public Works said work on the Smith’s road, which links Harrington Sound Road and South Road, will start on June 18.
Work is expected to be completed by June 28.
The notice stated: “Working hours will be from 9am through to 5pm.
“Traffic control will be under the direction of Invisible Trenching representatives with temporary traffic lights and stop and go signs.
“The Ministry of Public Works encourages the full co-operation of the motoring public and apologises for any inconvenience that may result.”
