Traffic planning as Ag Show prepares to launch this week

The Ag Show returns this week, with artificial creations on show alongside plants and animals great and small.

They include the “recyclable critters” put together by young students, which Department of Parks staff have put out on display ahead of the opening of the 85th Annual Agricultural Exhibition on Thursday at the Botanical Gardens in Paget.

Parking restrictions will be in place between 8am and 7pm on sections of South Road, Tee Street and Point Finger Road, with controlled access at park gates.

Designated parking for vehicles operated by people who are physically challenged will be available on the south side of Berry Hill Road, west of the North Gate, with a valid parking badge displayed.

Traffic flow restrictions will also be in place on Berry Hill Road, where traffic will travel east between Camden North and Tee Street, with limited exceptions for authorised emergency and doctors’ vehicles travelling to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

South Road and Point Finger Road will remain open to two-way traffic.

Drivers should plan travel and use caution in the area.
