Race to affect traffic on Sunday
A run and walk event will impact traffic in Pembroke and Devonshire on Sunday, the Ministry of Public Works and Environment announced.
A spokesman urged motorists to use caution during the Sir Stanley Burgess 5K race, set to start and finish near the Clyde Best Centre of Excellence commencing at 8am.
Participants will head from there to the roundabout on Frog Lane, Old Military Road, Parsons Lane and along Palmetto Road.
Racers will continue to Marsh Folly Road, near Black Watch Pass and back along Palmetto Road and Frog Lane to the finish line.
No road closures are expected during the event, which is expected to conclude by 9.30am, but motorists should be cautious and follow instructions from race marshals.
Streets can be closed in full or in part and parking can be authorised as decided by the Commissioner of Police.
Questions can be directed to race representative Christine Joell at 505-4481.
