A man suffered head injuries in a motorcycle crash in Hamilton Parish on Friday evening.

A police spokesman said a “serious” single-vehicle crash took place on Harrington Sound Road, near the junction with White Crest Hill.

The spokesman added: “It is understood the male motorcycle rider has sustained head injuries, the extent of which are unknown at this time.

The roadway closed while the collision scene is processed. Eastbound traffic was diverted along Devil’s Hole Hill and onto South Road, while westbound traffic was diverted along Paynters Road, on to South Road.
