Motorcyclist arrested after crash on Barkers Hill

A man has been arrested for suspected impaired driving after a crash that closed off a main road.

A police spokesman said officers and other first responders were called to a single-vehicle incident on Barkers Hill, Devonshire, just north of its junction with Parsons Lane at about 3.45pm on Saturday.

Passers-by offered assistance until emergency services arrived and took the man to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The rider was later arrested for impaired driving.

Police launched an investigation into the matter and encouraged anyone with information on the incident to e-mail Pc Colby Pimentel at cpimentel@bps.bm.

Witnesses can also call the main police number, 295-0011.
