Rider taken to hospital after crash with barrier

A male motorcyclist was rushed to hospital this morning after a serious road traffic incident in Dockyard.

The crash on Pender Road happened soon after midnight, when police and other first responders were sent to the scene.

A spokeswoman for the Bermuda Police Service said: “Details remain limited at this time, however, it is believed the rider was travelling out of Dockyard when he struck a barrier near the junction with Freeport Drive.

“The rider was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital with injuries considered to be serious.”
