Emergency Belco works have caused lane closures in Pembroke that are expected to continue through the weekend.

The Ministry of Public Works and Environment said that the emergency lane closures were put in place on Middle Road near the junction with Flora Duffy Hill and on Cavendish Road west of Hibiscus Lane.

A spokesman said: “The lane closures are in place immediately and will remain in effect through Monday.

“Works will take place between 7.30am and 6pm. Traffic control will be under the direction of Belco representatives.

“Motorists are advised to avoid the area where possible and use alternative routes via North Shore Road, Palmetto Road, Parson’s Lane and Crow Lane.”
