Man injured in collision between motorcycle and car

A man suffered a possible head injury in a collision on North Shore Road in Smith’s yesterday afternoon.

A spokeswoman for the Bermuda Police Service said that officers were dispatched to the scene of a potentially serious crash near Tamarisk Hill.

She said: “Initial information suggests that a car and a motorcycle travelling in opposite directions were involved in a collision.

“The male motorcycle rider is believed to have sustained a possible head injury and has been transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries.”

The spokeswoman said that traffic diversions were in place at Store Hill and Jennings Road while the scene was being forensically examined, with motorists urged to avoid the area if possible.
