Police cordoned off a section road near the entrance to the Fairmont Southampton yesterday morning, after a three-way collision involving three heavy trucks.

While details are limited, a Bermuda Police Service spokeswoman said it appeared that two trucks were travelling west along South Road near Harbour View Drive when one attempted to overtake the other, shortly after 10am.

She added that as the manoeuvre was carried out, the vehicles collided before the overtaking truck hit an oncoming truck and overturned, completely blocking the roadway.
