Gale-force winds with storm-force gusts forecast for weekend

A wet and windy weekend starts today, according to the Bermuda Weather Service.
Gale-strength winds with some storm-force gusts and the potential for thunder and heavy rain are expected to sweep across the island tomorrow as a vigorous frontal system passes through the region.
The Chubb Bermuda Triangle Challenge continues with the BF&M 10K set to start at 9am.
BWS said winds should ease moderate to strong by the evening – but blustery conditions and showers are forecast to persist into tomorrow.
