Martial artists in Turkey


Four of Bermuda’s top Martial Artists are in Turkey this week for the World Wushu Championships.

Talia Iris, Garon Wilkinson, Jermal Woolridge and Sentwali Woolridge have travelled to Ankara for the event that runs from tomorrow to October 15.

Iris will be competing in the 56kg female san shou, Sentwali Woolridge in the 70kg, Jermal Woolridge in +90kg and Garon Wilkinson in Chang quan.

The are accompanied by manager, Dueane Dill.

Wilkinson will also be taking on the role as head coach and will be cornering the fighters along with Dill. Sentwali Woolridge is team captain and will be the flag bearer at the opening ceremonies.
