School closes early with news of death of teacher
The sudden death of a long time teacher at the Elliott Primary School, forced an early closure yesterday, when faculty and staff arrived to hear the tragic news that they had lost a long serving colleague, staff member and friend.
The mans identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, however word spread fast following the early release of the student body.
A number of sources confirmed the deceased was rushed to the King Edward Memorial Hospital sometime on Wednesday night.
When contacted by The Royal Gazette, the Ministry of Education offered a brief statement by a Ministry spokesperson who confirmed: Earlier today, staff and students were informed of the passing of a long serving member of staff of the Elliott Primary School.
The Minister of Education, Dame Jennifer Smith and the Ministry of Education send their deepest and sincerest condolences to the family, staff and students of Elliott Primary School at this difficult time.
