Things will only get worse
October 13, 2012
Yesterday, a blogger whose pen name is “ToowitTawoo”, commented on The Royal Gazette article headlined 'BHB Reveals Some Details About Administrative Officer's Salaries' and part of his comment stated: “Maybe Pat Ferguson has it right. Maybe, we all need to gather together and camp at the House of Assembly, because, unless we make ourselves very clear, the Government is going to do absolutely squat. The election can't come quickly enough”.
Mr Editor, I do believe that if you don't have any action; you won't get a reaction. This Government will not listen, they will not let the people know what is going on and if they are re-elected, things will only get worse. They have no sense of what is morally appropriate, and they have no respect for the Bermudian people. They don't know what they are doing as far as administrating to the needs of the Island; they only know how to take care of their own gluttonous needs.
They have lied, mismanaged, overlook, underperformed, posed, postured and bled us dry; and guess what we sat there and let it happen. If this had been any other country, they would have been out on their ear a long time ago and if this Government worked in the private sector, they would have been fired after or before their probation period of three months was up. Thanks to the Ewart Brown/Paula Cox administration as he, along with Paula Cox, were the ones that started this ball of destruction rolling. He boldly stated it was payback time for him and Paula Cox as Finance Minister, flunked her role as such, stood by, and let him do it.
With all the questionable dealings that have come to light re the BHB in the past years, one is inclined to believe there are no Government institutions or departments that operate in transparency, and that there is corruption in every corner. There are so many unanswered questions about this Government's handling of the taxpayer purse that one's head spins and to think, there are people out there who are willing to vote this PLP Government back in for another term! Well unfortunately Mr Editor, when you have people who can't see the forest for the trees, or think they are entitled, what more can you expect?
There are times when I get so disheartened I say that I will never write another line as words and reasoning seem to fall on deaf ears, but since this is my home and I do love it, I go on. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that Bermuda would be brought to such a low level when we were once the jewel of the Atlantic and other countries envied us. We are now nothing but an embarrassment and laughing stock. Wake up Bermuda the handwriting is on the wall and the sooner we get this Government out, the better but God help the OBA because when they get in they have one unholy mess to clean up.
Ps Thinking about the mindset of some people, if you want a scary reading ride, go on the Facebook site Bermuda Election 2012 you will not believe some of the frightening and way-out comments that are on posted there! Talk about toxic waste those containers filled with asbestos that they have stored somewhere in Bermuda can't touch this stuff!!
