MP to give lectures on Bermuda
Opposition MP Walton Brown will give a four part lecture series called Understanding Modern Bermuda.
It will be held on Tuesdays at 6pm from January 15 until February 5, at the Dr EF Gordon Memorial Hall, Bermuda Industrial Union Building.
The four lectures cover the following areas:
l January 15: The Legacy of the Past
l January 22: Trade Unionism, Desegregation and the Vote
l January 29: Party Politics and Ideology
l February 5: 21st Century Politics
Mr Brown taught history and politics at Bermuda College from 1988 — 2000 and is the author of several books.
A $5 donation is requested, but not obligatory, donation to cover the room rental.
