Bermuda-based re/insurance management consultancy, Horseshoe Group, has announced they have selected Eurobase Insurance Solutions to provide the company’s new underwriting platform.Named synergy2, the new system will allow the Horseshoe Group, which provides management and advisory services to insurers, reinsurers, sidecars, transformers, and catastrophe bonds, to handle both the service company business and reinsurance business in a single application.Horseshoe Group will be utilising synergy2 in its Bermuda and Cayman Islands operations for underwriting, claims, reinsurance, accounting and reporting. The reinsurance functionality will be used for the administration of the link between the reinsurance market and capital investors.Speaking about its decision to choose Eurobase’s synergy2, Andre Perez, CEO, Horseshoe Group said: “We were looking for an underwriting system which was flexible enough to handle the complexity of transactions we manage but also simple enough to use.”
