About 300 residences around the Mission Road area of Paget lost power last night, when a switch was tripped on a utilities pole at 6.40pm.

The outage wasn’t related to the two other cuts that plagued Hamilton during the past week.

After two hours, the lights were back on for all but 20 residences.

Apologising for the inconvenience, a Belco spokeswoman said the company worked hard to maintain its 99.96 percent system reliability.
