Lamb and Swan leading the way at Tucker’s Point

Dakota Lamb and Kheary Swan recorded the best scores of the day after the first round of action at the HSBC International Classic at the Tucker’s Point Golf Club yesterday.

Both players recorded scores of 76 to lead the boys’ 13-15 division. Brady Cordeiro was in third with a score of 79.

In the girls’ division, Elizabeth Parson was first with a score of 81, with Greer Valaquenta in second, shooting 92.

Feanor Valaquenta led the the open red division with a score of 84, ahead of Kenny Leseur with 90, Alex Withers Clarke 96, Lorien Valaquenta 103, Spencer Young 109, and Ethan Sousa 123.

In the novice division, in which competitors only played six holes, Ryan Grant led with a score of 31. In second was Marcus Furr with a score of 39. Kian Mooney was third with 45, and Callum Pearce fourth with 51.

The competition is scheduled to continue today with the second round being held at the Mid Ocean Club, with the first golfers teeing off at 10.48am.

Many of the same golfers will be competing later this week at the HSBC Junior National Par 3 Championships, starting on Friday.
