BF&M shares fall 6% on BSX
Shares of BF&M fell more than 6 per cent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading.
The insurer dipped $1.25 to close on $19 as 2,000 shares changed hands.
Ascendant Group Ltd was unchanged on $31 as 300 shares were traded.
Among international companies, shares of HSBC Holdings plc fell 20 cents to close on $7.55 as 701 shares changed hands.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index fell 9.57 points, or 0.42 per cent, to close on 2,243.44. For the week, the index was down 0.45 per cent.
Butterfield Bank’s US-listed shares fell 52 cents, or 1.52 per cent, to close on $33.72 on the New York Stock Exchange. The bank last traded at $34 on the BSX.
The BSX Insurance Index fell 4.33 points, or 0.23 per cent, to close on 1,862.16.
