Shares of Ascendant and Butterfield climb
Shares of Ascendant Group Ltd and Butterfield Bank gained ground in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading.
Ascendant, parent company of power utility Belco, rose 50 cents, or 1.6 per cent, to close on $31.75 as 500 shares changed hands.
Butterfield rose 30 cents, or 1.2 per cent, to close on $25 as 400 shares traded.
Butterfield’s US-listed shares fell 23 cents, or 0.93 per cent, to close on $24.40 as 101,362 shares changed hands.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index climbed 18.31 points, or 1 per cent, to close on 1,845.59.
