More than $13,000 in fines were dealt out to traffic offenders in less than an hour of traffic court.

Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo dealt fines to 22 offenders on the Thursday afternoon court session.

The magistrate issued a total of 103 demerit points to the motorists and $13,150 in fines.

A total of 14 people admitted speeding offences, with speeds of between 56km/h and 78km/h.

And five people were fined $1,000 for driving uninsured vehicles.

Other offences included three counts of driving unlicensed vehicles, two counts of driving without a licence, and one count of using fraudulent documents.
