A man charged with a daylight shooting at the weekend appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday.Daneko Cann-Hayward, 22, was charged with robbery, use of a firearm after committing an indictable offence and handling a firearm.The offences are alleged to have happened during a robbery on Middle Road, Warwick, last Friday.Mr Cann-Hayward, from Warwick, was not required to enter a plea because the case must be heard in the Supreme Court.The defendent appeared at an online hearing of the court, held through the Zoom app.Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo remanded Mr Cann-Hayward in custody until June 1.• It is The Royal Gazette’s policy not to allow comments on stories regarding criminal court cases.
