Police hunt witnesses to assault
Police made a fresh appeal for witnesses to an alleged assault on an off-duty police officer today.
A Bermuda Police Service spokesman said there had been “on social media, a lot of comment from individuals identifying themselves as eyewitnesses” to the alleged assault at the Clearwater Beach car park last Sunday.
Anyone with information should call police on 295-0011 or the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline 800-8477.
Jaron Roberts, 28, denied charges related to the incident at Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
