Dominant wins for Oliveira and Rowse

Matthew Oliveira and Alyssa Rowse continued their dominance of late after capturing the men’s and women’s titles in yesterday’s Bicycle Works Time Trial.

Oliveira won the men’s crown in 29mins 2secs, covering the 20.1km distance more than a minute faster than second place finisher Geoff Smith, who crossed the line in 30:11.

Dave Mccomas covered the course in 30:33 to round off the men’s podium in third.

Rowse’s triumph in the women’s division was even more emphatic as she covered the same distance in 33:03, more than two minutes faster than second placed Julia Hawley, who crossed the line in 35:57.

Wenda Roberts rounded off the women’s podium in 36:21.

Meanwhile, Nick Pilgrim won yesterday’s junior 10km race in 19:28, with Blake Oliveira taking second in 20:13, and Adrian McPhee third in 21:39.
