Hopkins wins at Admiralty House

Kaden Hopkins beat Conor White in the Male A class in the fourth race of the 2017-18 Furniture Walk Mountain Bike Race at Admiralty House at the weekend.

Hopkins, one of the island’s top junior riders, finished the 11 laps in an overall time of 50min 02sec, with White posting a time of 51:42.

In the Veterans’ class, Hans Hirschi continued his dominance beating second-place David Bryne by more than two minutes over eight laps. Andrew Hern secured third place.

In the Male B class, Nick Narraway took first ahead of Blake Camara, with Alex Miller placing third.

Jennifer Wilson claimed the honours in the Female Novice division, with Zina Jones — who suffered a first-lap flat tyre — coming second and Caitlin Conyers finishing third.

The next race will be held at Ferry Reach Park on January 21.
