Matthew Oliveira achieved a third-place finish in the Junior Tour of Ireland in Ennis, County Clare.

Oliveira, who is riding for Hot Tubes, a top developmental team in the United States, finished the six-stage race in an overall time of 12hr 40min 24sec.

Rickardo Broxham, of South African, won the competition in a 12:40:10, with Andrew Vollmer, of Luxembourg, coming second in 12:40:16.

Oliveira, 18, finished the sixth and final stage yesterday in fifth position today.

He came ninth in stage five on Saturday, fifth in stage four, 24th in stage three, 31st in two stage and sixth in the first stage time-trial.
