A man was arrested outside The Royal Gazette offices after a high-speed police chase in Hamilton yesterday.

A witness said the biker just missed hitting a pedestrian during the pursuit.

The motorcycle was seen speeding down Par-la-Ville Road, with a police bike in pursuit.

The rider raced around the roundabout and past the Bermuda Athletic Association car park on Woodbourne Avenue before returning to Par-la-Ville Road, where he abandoned the bike and ran into nearby offices.

He was arrested at about 1pm on the pedestrian walkway to Bermy Cuisine restaurant after several police cars and bikes converged on the building.
