Punching above their weight
Bermemes has become a big part of our Bermudian social media culture, expanding their reach beyond our 21 square miles.
Through their social media outreach they have shone a spotlight on our beautiful island and its people, and given us cause to laugh and reflect.
In a video on the America’s Cup website Qian Dickinson and Dejon Simmons, who also feature in the “America’s Cup is Our Cup” bus-back promotion, explain how Bermemes, which was started five years ago sets out to highlight all things Bermudian, from our people, events, places and our culture.
Qian tells us how last year during Cup Match, Bermemes had 1.2 million impressions on social media, which on its own is quite an impressive number. He reflects on what Bermemes could accomplish during the 35th America’s Cup, a far reaching, worldwide sporting event.
