Leseur finishes tied for second

Kenny Leseur

Kenny Leseur finished tied for second in the 14-15 age group at the Saugahatchee Junior Golf Tournament in Alabama today, after losing his first round lead.

Leseur shot a one-under par 71 on Tuesday to set the early pace, however, yesterday he lost that advantage after carding a six-over par 78 to finish tied with Ward Harris of Alabama on a two-round total of 149. They finished three strokes behind winner Brock Blais of Georgia who added a 71 to his 75 on the opening day. Leseur had four bogeys and a double bogey in his round yesterday.

“Overall, I played well today, had one hiccup on the par-three 13th hole but quickly got over that with birdies on 14 and 15,” Leseur said on Tuesday

“The greens are very undulating and similar to Mid Ocean Club, but much faster and firmer. It is a really nice place with a lot of opportunities to make birdies. Hopefully, I can do the same thing tomorrow and keep myself in check.”
