AA meeting will run remotely

A support group will hold its weekly meeting through a digital app tomorrow to make sure that people can still connect while social distancing.

The AA Onion Patch get-together will be from 9am until 10am on Saturday but participants can access it from Zoom, which they will need to download.

A spokesman for the group said: “We appreciate these are unique and trying times and we hope this initial offering can be a pathway to connection for those seeking a Bermuda AA meeting for those with connectivity capabilities.”

He added that the event was “an open AA meeting following a traditional AA format”.

The “tradition 11” commitment to confidentiality will also apply, the spokesman said.
