Police dismiss Warwick Pond claims

Police today dismissed claims on social media that a body was pulled from Warwick Pond.

A spokesman said that there was “absolutely no truth” to a recent post that has circulated around social media and claims that a body had been found in the nature reserve.

He advised members of the public to delete this message if received.

The spokesman added: “Sharing this kind of misinformation serves only to heighten community anxiety and does nothing to assist with ongoing investigations.”
