Futsal mini-league set for Sundays
Footy Promotions is hosting a Youth Futsal Mini-League, which starts on February 9 at CedarBridge Academy.
Enrique Wilkin, technical director, said: “Our aim is to create a fun and competitive environment.”
The league is tailored for boys and girls aged 8 to 12 years old and will run every Sunday until March 1.
“We will be hosting one training session on Sunday at 11am at CedarBridge Academy’s gymnasium,” Wilkin added. “The players will be announced by draft selection.
“This league will have a light coaching touch which will force players to work together and learn through solving in-game situation.
The mission of Footy Promotions is to use the indoor game as an improvement mechanism to build well-rounded players.
“At Footy Promotions, we use futsal as a development tool to enhance players’ confidence, vision, technical ability and speed of play,” Wilkin concluded.
