Shares of Ascendant Group soared 11.1 per cent, rising 75 cents to $7.50, after 2,888 were traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index last week.

Also moving higher was Butterfield Bank, with its shares improving 70 cents, or 2.2 per cent, to $32 after 8,101 changed hands. On the New York Stock Exchange, the bank’s shares ended the week at $32.48.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed at 1,962.51, up 38.72 points, or 1.97 per cent, for the week.

Meanwhile, the BSX Insurance Index closed at 1,774.48, up 7.05 points, or 0.4 per cent.
