Dear Sir,

I was appalled by the disrespectful and utterly inappropriate letter in Saturday’s Royal Gazette written by Richard Foggo.

Regardless of his personal feelings, he has no right to address our new governor in such an ill-mannered way.

As a long-time and ardent advocate of same-sex unions, I applaud His Excellency’s forthright expression of his support for what Mr Foggo chooses to call “disgusting behaviour” — what a dreadful thing to say.

If two people love one another, regardless of gender, and wish to spend the rest of their lives together, that is no one’s business but theirs.
