If you are looking to transform your image, maybe this new Hamilton hair salon can help. Transformations had its grand opening last night and owner/manager Taina Santin said the salon, which is above Duffy's Deli on Wesley Street, will offer hair and make-up styling and products.

It is Ms Santin's first venture in to the industry, and when asked what prompted her to open her own salon, she said: "I am an entrepreneur."

Ms Santin has one "silent" partner in the business, Dexter Johnston. The salon is staffed with four stylists, a receptionist and shampoo assistant. Pictured (left to right) are: Paula Marques, Amanda Moran, Camisha Talbot, Taina Santin, Janis Clementino, Karen Durham and Susana Maiato.
