Appleby participants raised $5,914 for the Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre during a Movember challenge.

The firm matched the donation amount raised by the Appleby moustache-growing “Mo Bros” to show their support of the programme.

Timothy Faries, Appleby Bermuda managing partner, stated: “We are pleased to be involved with such an important movement within our community,” said.

“Even though Movember is only a month long, we must remember the importance of the charity and understand that health is a daily priority. We want to do our part to raise awareness about cancer risks for men and are happy to donate to the Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre initiative.”

The funds raised help the Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre with its work in engaging in the prevention and detection of cancer and other health concerns in the local community. This year the support will be focused on Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre’s Radiation Therapy Initiative as well as other men’s health programmes including the Annual Men’s Health Screening Clinic.
