In the 80cc class, champion Kemo Simons is in second place, just two points behind leader Chris Maxwell who has 234 points. Michael Burgess is third on 183.

Devon Moss looks set to sew up the race in the 125 C class over Kyle Constable and Evon Lambert. Moss has 225 points, Constable 181 and Lambert 168.

Kevin Walton also has a comfortable lead, in the 250 C class over Donnie Moss.

Walton has 126 points and Moss 90.

The 125 B class has a close 20-point gap between Aaron Pace, the former 125 C champion, newcomer to the class veteran Gary Simons, and national number two Justin Belboda in third place. Pace has 186 points, Simons 164 and Justin Belboda 144.

Number one rider Robert Smith has the biggest cushion by far with 60 points separating him from Duprey Joell in second place in the 250 B class. Smith has a total of 195 points, with Joell on 135 and Edison Jones on 107.

Joell and Belboda, who set out the last race day, will be back in action this weekend after having been verbally reprimanded by the BACU for their recent conduct. They have promised to do more for the club in the future.

GOLF GLF Steven Carruthers holds a slender one-stroke lead in the 16-and-over category heading into today's final round of the Fecchio Cup at Belmont.

The young golfer shot a 76 yesterday while Chris Garland -- tied with Carruthers after the first round -- slipped back with a 77.

The duo are well in front of the rest of the field with the third-placed player 10 strokes off the pace.
