MOTORCROSS SCR Up to 30 riders turned out on Sunday to pay their respect to a former rider during the seventh annual Brian Castle Memorial race sponsored by the Castle family.
The Yahama trio of Kemo Simons, Jamel Hassell and Jason DeSilva cleaned up in the 80cc class with Simons picking up two more wins to take his total wins for the season to 34.
Simons won the first and third motos and placed second in the second race when Hassell picked up his only win to go with two seconds. DeSilva was third for the day with two thirds and a fourth.
In the 125 C class Chris Maxwell rode to a hat-trick of wins over brother Leroy, who had two seconds and a third. Mike Burgess, who was dogged by mechanical woes and only rode in the last moto, had a second to close out the day.
Aaron Pace returned to his winning ways in the 125 B class, winning the first two motos and placing third in the final race as Robbie Smith, who has been a thorn in his side lately, had to settle for three seconds. Buddy Joell, who began with two fifths, bounced back to place first in the final race.
In the 250 C class, Donnie Moss had three firsts and Jason Harrell three seconds. Marvin Lamb won the mechanics race.
