A large turnout is expected on Sunday when the Bermuda Auto Cycle Union holds its next round of the Pepsi Motocross Nationals at Coney Island.

Competition is tight in all five classes with just a few points separating first and second place in the 80cc Class where Chris Maxwell leads Kemo Simons by two points. Michael Burgess is third much further behind.

In the 125 C Class Devon Moss leads with 296 points while Evan Lambert follows on 208 and Kyle Constable on 181. Aaron Pace leads in the 125 B Class on 276 followed by Gary Simons on 228 and Justin Belboda on 212.

Donnie Moss is the 250 C Class leader on 180 with Kevin Walton second on 162 while Robert Smith leads the 250 B Class with 232 points with Duprey Joell second on 186 and Edison Jones third on 139.

After 10 rounds and 30 motos, Devon Moss has clinched 22 wins on his Suzuki in the 125 C Class. Aaron Pace is next in line with 18 with Chris Maxwell and Robert Smith tied on 16.

Honda riders continue to pile up wins in the Manufacturers' series with a total of 82. Suzuki follows with 38, Kawasaki 18 and Yamaha four.

BOWLING BOW Mixed Classic Bowling League action this week saw Bermuda Glass defeat Terrible Four 18-4 with Doug Hines rolling a 631 high series and top game of 245. Team-mate Kathy Christopher gave support with a women's top series of 587 and second high game of 212.

Pro-Staff had a good victory 11-9 over East End Asphalt with Bobbie Ingham having a women's high game of 220 and second high series of 573 and Millie Waldron contributing a women's third high series of 563.

Carlos Estravit led the east-enders with a men's second high game of 222 and third high series of 566.

Miles Smith had a 554 series to lead Flagler Street to victory over Perfect Combination while Us Until smashed Amflites 17-3 behind Pat Ming-Albuoy who had a 555 series and women's second high game of 214. Hank Corrado led the losers with a 554 series.

GOLF GLF Gertie Barker stole the show in the annual Police Commissioner's Cup played at Castle Harbour Golf Club on Thursday. Not only did Barker, an inspector, win the prize for nearest to the pin and the longest drive but she also got a hole-in-one on the 13th hole.

CRICKET CRI A meeting will be held for all Warwick cricketers on Monday at the club at 7.30 p.m.
