The Bermuda Mental Health Foundation will be hosting a fundraiser to improve support for Bermuda’s mentally ill population.
The “Sheltering Our Way Fundraiser” is a month-long event in which people can experience being homeless in Bermuda for 12 hours.
Its goal is to increase awareness about the plight of people who currently struggle to locate safe and decent accommodation.
Each participant will pay an entry fee of $350 and will encourage others to purchase items that will make their 12 hours of homelessness more comfortable.
Participants will be placed in different locations around Hamilton and will document their experience through video.
