Watlington soars
A 16 percent increase in the price of Watlington Waterworks Ltd shares helped the Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) to advance last week.Watlington climbed $1.95, or 16.25 percent, to $13.95 over the five days of trading as 1,780 of its shares changed hands.Kentucky Fried Chicken (Bermuda) Ltd experienced an even larger share price change, but in the opposite direction. KFC Bermuda fell, which on Friday announced its intention to delist from the BSX, slid $1, or 16,66 percent, to $5, as 1,600 shares traded.The only other stock to change value was the Ascendant Group Ltd, which fell 20 cents, or 1.42 percent, to close on $13.80 on the trading of 400 shares..Butterfield Bank was the most heavily traded stock, but it held steady on $1.41 as 11,643 shares were exchanged.The Royal Gazette / BSX Index rose 9.04 points, or 0.74 percent, to close on 1,209.26. Volume for the week was 16,223 shares and turnover was $66,655.
