change his plea midway through a case.

Ricardo George Bremar had earlier admitted wilful damage to a car on Cambridge Road, Sandys.

Bremar, 36, of Bushy Park Drive, said he had thrown a wheel rim into the air and it had struck the windscreen of a vehicle belonging to Margaret Wade.

Prosecuting, Sgt. Rex Osborne said the damage to the car was estimated at $1,254.75.

Police investigated the incident and arrested Bremar, who told them: "I picked up a rim and threw it in the air. All I heard was wham!'' In Magistrates' Court yesterday, Bremar said: "It was an accident. It was not deliberately done.'' Mr. Francis asked: "Were you angry? Had you told Ms Wade you were going to smash her car?'' Bremar replied: "No.'' Mr. Francis suggested he enter a not guilty plea and set a trial date for May.
