ABANDONED SHED BURNS DOWN FIR Abandoned shed burns down An abandoned 10X12-foot shed on Curving Avenue in Pembroke burnt down early yesterday morning.
Three fire engines rushed to the scene at about 1.27 a.m. and had the blaze under control within an hour. No one was injured.
A Fire Service spokesperson said fire fighters were unable to determine the cause.
The spokesperson also reported that on Saturday night fire fighters were called to attend Marriott's Castle Harbour Resort where the smoke alarm had been set off in the dining room by the flames from a flambe. There was no fire or damage.

CITY STROLLER IS MUGGED, ROBBED CRM City stroller is mugged, robbed A pedestrian was robbed of $200 after being grabbed around the neck and dragged into a nearby alley.
The 47-year--old Warwick man was attacked as he strolled along Princess Street, Hamilton, at around 4.30 a.m. on Saturday.
He lost his wallet, containing cash and credit cards, but was uninjured.
STATUS GRANTED GVT Status granted The Cabinet has granted Bermudian status to four residents on appeal.
Receiving status were Mr. David Ezekiel, Mrs. Keren Lomas, Mr. David G.A.
Mutch and Mr. James E. Ferguson.
The four residents fought last year's decision by the Immigration Department along with 75 other appellants under the Bermuda Immigration & Protection Act 1956.
Applications for Bermuda status by five resident spouses of Bermudians have also been made to the Minister of Labour and Home Affairs, the Hon. John Irving Pearman.
Mrs. Alberta Cannonier, Mrs. Sheelagh Cooper, Mr. Victor Griffith, Mrs. Susan Kessaram and Mrs. Jane Wadson have all requested to be granted status.
Under law, recipients must have been married to a Bermudian for at least 10 years, an Island resident for at least seven years and be of good character and conduct.
Any person who knows why Bermudian status should not be granted to the above persons should submit a written statement to the Chief Immigration Officer, Department of Immigration, P.O. Box 1364, Hamilton HM FX no later than April 17.
NO BEACH DOGS GVT No beach dogs The Department of Agriculture Fisheries and Parks has reminded residents that dogs are banned from public beaches between April and October. A spokesman said that although dogs are allowed on the dunes or in the parks during these summer months, they must be on a leash at all times.
