Two men and a woman have been banned from the roads for drink-driving offences.

Randall Hall, 32, from Devonshire, received a three-year ban from the roads for driving while more than 2½ times over the legal limit of 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.

Patrol police saw Hall, a construction worker, driving erratically and swerving on Middle Road in Devonshire on December 6. He was breathalysed and found to have 203mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood.

Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo asked him if he had anything to say to which he replied: “I’m sorry for doing all that but I am guilty so there’s not much I can say.”

He was fined $1,200 and banned from driving any vehicle for three years. He was also fined $100 for having no licence.

Southampton man Tatem Ford, 31, was fined $1,200 for drink-driving.

Mr Tokunbo heard that Ford was seen by police on December 11 swerving in the road before hitting a utility pole on Middle Road.

He admitted he had “had a few” and was subsequently arrested. Mr Tokunbo issued a fine of $1,200 and banned him from the road for 18 months.

He was also fined $300 for speeding and a further $1,000 for driving an unlicensed vehicle.

Avery Martins, 23, from Smith’s was also issued a $1,200 fine and banned from the road for 18 months after admitting drink-driving.

She was driving her car on Crow Lane at 3.10am with no lights on when patrol police saw her swerving in the road and almost hitting the sidewalk.

She apologised for the inconveniencing the Bermuda Police Service.
