Protecting us: by retiring some officers who are on extended sick leave, with the possibility of a disability pension, it would allow on a few more able-bodied officers to remain in the service, suggests a reader
Dear Sir,
Before the Commissioner of Police terminates the contracts of able-bodied police officers, maybe the visiting retired superintendent from Britain could recommend that those police officers who have been on extended sick leave be brought before a medical review board, with the possibility of retiring them on a disability pension, therefore allowing some of the able-bodied officers to remain on the force.
