All play-off spots in the Bermuda Basketball Association's Winter League have been determined with Bank of Bermuda and Dream Team clinching berths in the

Dream Team wound up the regular season with a 12-2 record after beating Tucker's Tees 58-56 in the final match.

Meanwhile, Bank of Bermuda, at 10-4, surprisingly went down 52-41 against Clearly Canadian.

In other matches Rebels (12-2) sunk Tucker's Tees (4-9) 58-45 and Nationals (11-3) whipped Bermuda College (7-7) 46-37.

Tomorrow will see two matches involving men's and women's sides made up of locals and those stationed at NAS.

The games, which the public are invited to attend as part of the Bermuda Day activities, will be held at NAS Gym in St. David's with the women's match starting at 4 p.m. and the men's game at 6.15 p.m.

Berkeley Institute clinched the Planters Peanuts Varsity Girls Division of the Inter-school League.

With a 5-1 record, the Pembroke school ousted defending champions Mount Saint Agnes, who entered the last two matches still in the hunt But, needing to win both, Mount Saint Agnes dropped a close 38-36 result to fifth-placed Roger B. Chaffee and the chance to repeat was lost.

Chaffee wound up in a tie for second with Warwick Academy at 4-2 followed by Saltus in fourth, Chaffee, Northlands and Whitney.

The Bermuda Schools Sports Federation's Inter-school Basketball Tournament begins on Monday with games taking place at Saltus and Mount Saint Agnes.

Starting times are 4 p.m. and 5.30 p.m. each day until March 19 when the finals will take place at MSA.

GOLF GLF Entries for the 64th Bermuda Men's Amateur Championship this month have closed at 80 players -- 43 local and 37 from abroad.

However, the Bermuda Golf Association is prepared to place names on a waiting list in the event of cancellations. The tournament will be played from March 16-20 at Mid Ocean Club.

Meanwhile, the BGA Medal Play Competition, which is scheduled for Mid Ocean next Saturday has been switched to Port Royal because of the unavailability of the Mid Ocean course.

Players who have already signed up for that day are asked to re-confirm their entry with BGA secretary Tom Smith at 238-1367 before 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

The Bermuda Mixed Foursomes is scheduled for April 3-4 at Port Royal with a cut-off date of March 27. Entries are now being accepted by the BGA and completed forms and the $120 per team entry fee should be sent to the secretary.

The Swizzle Inn Tournament will be held tomorrow at Castle Harbour GC with a shot-gun start at 7.30 a.m.

DARTS DRT Terry Cartwright and Gregor McQueen were crowned Bermuda Darts Association Mixed Doubles champions after defeating Linda Barnes and Michael Hollis 3-1 in the final played at Spanish Point Boat Club.

In an exciting affair, Cartwright and McQueen were sternly tested by their opponents with all four games going down to a double.

Earlier, the new champs had brushed aside the challenge of defending champions Elizabeth Simons and Jimmy Pratt in the first round.

The Champion of Champions tournament is to be played tonight at National Sports Club beginning at 8 p.m.
