MSA pupils celebrate Pastor’s Day

Pastor's Day at Mount Saint Agnes Academy

Last Thursday was Pastor’s Day at Mount Saint Academy.

It was a unique, almost rare, occasion to have five priests from the Roman Catholic Diocese of Hamilton present on school grounds.

For one, Father Joseph Morley, it was a surreal return to his alma mater more than 35 years since graduating.

The day began with the introduction of the priests to the elementary school, followed by a series of classroom visits, during which the priests were introduced to school life at MSA.

After a full day of seeing classes, a tour of the facilities and lunch with the faculty and staff, the priests’ visit concluded in a spirit-filled, school-wide, praise and worship celebration led by a parent, Chris Oliveira.

At Mount Saint Agnes Academy, we are grateful for the support of parish priests and the Diocese of Hamilton. We do not stand alone as the only Catholic school on the Island, but only as one critical component of a larger community of believers in Christ.”
