Rowlinson steps down from Government post

Mr. Rowlinson is set to manage the new Southside housing project known as Bermuda Homes for People.

Clifford Schorer is the president of the Bermuda Homes for People project which is due to build 196 homes in The project is due to start early next year.

"I am excited to be working at the new project," he said yesterday. "It is a project that I really believe in for Bermudians. I feel it is an extension of public service."

The project will include:

114 two-storey, two-bedroom attached houses.

44 two-storey, three-bedroom townhouses.

22 two-storey, four-bedroom attached houses.

12 one-bedroom apartments and four two-bedroom apartments above ground floor retail units around a public square.

"I am pleased with my colleagues' accomplishments over the last six years in the Ministry of the Environment," he said. "I believe the Ministry is well-placed for continuing success and I think it is time to move on to give an opportunity to one of my younger colleagues."
