A drug-fuelled, botched threesome preceded the fatal stabbing of Nicholas Dill, his girlfriend Stacey Pike told Supreme Court yesterday.

Testifying in the murder trial of Andre Hypolite, Ms Pike told the court that she was with Hypolite and Mr. Dill on December 26, 2004 and that the three were engaging in various sex acts as they got high on ecstasy and cocaine.

An emotional Ms Pike screamed at the accused murderer ? who is also facing a charge of intent to cause bodily harm to Ms Pike ? during yesterday?s court session.

?He did nothing for you to stab him in his back,? she yelled. ?He did not deserve to die like that! He let you lie in his bed. He let you touch his woman! You killed my baby for nothing. He was my friend. He let you in his home. How could you do this to me? I thought you were my friend??

Hypolite, 33, of no fixed abode, denies the charges against him.

Ms Pike told the jury that at roughly 5 a.m. on the day of Mr. Dill?s death, she, Hypolite and Mr. Dill took ecstasy and cocaine together at the Pearman?s Hill, Warwick home she shared with Mr. Dill.

Hypolite motioned for Ms Pike to give him oral sex and she complied, telling the jury that she and Mr. Dill had an ?understanding? that such activities were acceptable as long as they were getting high at the time.

?I could not do it sober,? she said. ?I made sure he took care of me. He gave me a piece of coke.?

As she smoked the cocaine, Hypolite pulled a ?very big, long? knife out of a brown paper bag and placed it on a dresser.

?To be honest I laughed,? she said. ?I said, ?Nicky look at the size of this knife?. I was high.?

Hypolite came back to the bed with a crack pipe, she said, and Ms Pike continued having oral sex with him.

?They were just talking back and forth, talking and smoking,? she said. ?I got frustrated. I wanted to stop what I was doing. Nicky was watching me.?

Mr. Dill soon joined in the sexual activities, she said, out of curiosity.

?Nicky was not gay,? she said. ?He wanted to see what it was like. He wanted to give Andre oral sex. Andre just laughed then and said ?yeah?.?

This occurred for a few seconds, she said, and then Hypolite said he wanted to have sex with Ms Pike.

Mr. Dill refused to allow this to happen, however, and the three agreed that Hypolite would have sex with Mr. Dill while Mr. Dill performed oral sex on Ms Pike instead.

Hypolite proceeded to put on a condom but before any penetration occurred Mr. Dill changed his mind.

?He started to sit up,? Ms Pike said. ?He said, ?Nah, I cannot do it??.

Mr. Dill reached for more cocaine but Hypolite pounced.

?He had his right arm next to his body,? she said. ?I couldn?t see nothing but he rested his left arm on Nicky?s shoulder. He pulled him forward. When he pulled Nicky forward I saw a blade and I saw Nicky jump and his whole body flew forward. And I screamed and screamed, it was so scary, so terrifying. Then he said to Andre, ?What happened? I?ll do whatever you want.??

As Hypolite yelled and waved the knife around, Mr. Dill tried to grab the knife from Hypolite?s hand and both men rolled onto the floor, she said.

Ms Pike tried to retrieve a machete from the corner, she said, but before she could reach it she felt a hard thump on the head.

?Andre hit me with the knife right here on my head,? she said. ?He split my head. I couldn?t see. Something kept running in my eyes and it never occurred to me it was blood.

?Nicky had blood all over him. Andre was making this sound, this sound like an animal. He was wailing heavy.

?I couldn?t stay on my feet. Blood was all over the floor.?

After a prolonged scuffle where she armed herself with a hammer and butcher?s cleaver in the kitchen as Mr. Dill lay slumped in a bath tub behind her, she heard someone outside scream that Police were on their way.

Then Hypolite put on his jeans and escaped out of a nearby window still holding the knife, she said.

Still lying in the tub, Mr. Dill asked Ms Pike to help him sit up because he could not breathe.

?I kept having to wipe my blood off his face,? she said. ?They said to apply pressure. I stuffed a towel between him and his back. It was the only way I knew how.

?He said to tell his children he loved them and tell his family he loved them.

?I told him not to talk like that.?

When Police arrived, officers asked her who had done this to Mr. Dill.

?I said, ?Andre Hypolite?,? Ms Pike said. ?I picked up his boots from the floor and threw them into the kitchen. I said, ?His boots are right here.??

Ms Pike told Police, that neither she nor Mr. Dill had attacked Hypolite before the alleged attack took place.

In a brief cross-examination before the trial broke for the day, however, defence lawyer Mark Pettingill asked Ms Pike about her own criminal history.

The jury heard that Ms Pike spent time in both prison and the Mid-Atlantic Wellness Institute ? then known as St. Brendan?s Hospital ? after stabbing a man to death.

Ms Pike denied that she suffers from any psychiatric or personality disorders. She said she was not sociopathic but had suffered from clinical depression.
