Jasmine Patterson scored her fifth goal in two games as Budgies maintained their perfect start to the season with a 3-0 win over Longtails yesterday.

Taylor Mullen scored twice in the first 12 minutes, and Patterson added another after 67 minutes as Budgies kept their second consecutive clean sheet.

In the other game at the National Sports Centre, Ravens got their league campaign off to a winning start with a 2-1 win over Wildcats.

Megan Troake and Molly O’Donnell gave Ravens a two-goal lead with little more than ten minutes gone, and although Anti Robain managed to pull one back for Wildcats in the 22nd minute, she and her team-mates could not manage an equaliser.

Bluebirds and Canaries had also been due to play yesterday, but that game was postponed.
