Members of the Young Presidents’ Organisation and World Presidents’ Organisation (YPO-WPO), who were in Bermuda for a multi-day annual conference were addressed by Michael Dunkley and Ross Webber, the chief executive officer of the Bermuda Business Development Agency.

About 160 visiting delegates and guests attended the event, which was centred on the Hamilton Princess Resort and Beach Club. During their stay, the YPO-WPO delegates toured the Island, dined at private homes, took part in scuba activities and history walks and had a behind the scenes tour of Oracle Team USA’s base for the America’s Cup.

The visiting delegates and guests were from the Southeast US and Caribbean Region of the YPO-WPO. Globally the two organisations have about 31,000 members.

Premier Dunkley welcomed the group at the start of their conference on Thursday, as did Mr Webber, who gave a speech in which he highlighted historic links between Bermuda and the US, explained the “Bermuda brand,” and detailed why the jurisdiction is not a tax haven.
